Not often you’ll come across a Jacobs Super Chuck of this vintage and in this fine condition. Heavy Duty Ball Bearing Jacobs Super Chuck, No. 20N, CAP. 3/8 – 1", Jacobs Mfg. Co., Hartford Conn., United States of America.
The collar easily and smoothly rotates from jaws fully closed through fully open. The jaws, key holes, and gear teeth all appear to be in excellent condition.
Included and mounted to a 3MT/5JT, which is marked: JACOBS CHUCK ARBOR, Part No. A0305, No. 3 Morris Taper with No. 5 Jacobs Taper. No key is included, but Jacobs model K5 key is readily available new or used. Overall length with arbor is 9.45 inches, collar diameter 3.9 inches, weighs 8 lbs 6 oz.
