"Ride em Cowboy" 1930s Pompeian Bronze Antique Bookends

Bucking bronc rider, "Ride 'em Cowboy", made circa 1932 by the Pompeian Bronze Company, a pair of vintage electroformed bronze-clad figural book ends. Petite-sized, these bookends feature a cowboy, hat-in-hand over his head, on a bucking horse. Each is marked on the front "(c) Paul Herzel" (the "P" doesn't show). Cowboys and the Wild West were a common theme for Paul Herzel. Rich, dark, original patina. No. 2330 in Kuritzky and De Costa.

SPECS: Each measures about 5.5" tall by 4.35" wide by 1.95" deep, the pair weighs in at 2 lbs 15 oz. We did two repairs on one of the pair, repairing breaks in the bronze clad at his waist and right shoulder, and there is also a tear where his left hand meets the saddle (which we decided not to repair). The other one of the pair has a couple of tears in the bronze cladding on his right arm. They still display nicely.
