An ornately carved antique white marble fireplace keystone, probably late 19th century Victorian Era, design includes a cartouche, ivy leaves, and what appears to be (beer making) hops blossums. Architectural salvage, this antique marble keystone likely originally graced an old home in either Bucks County PA, Burlington County NJ, Mercer County NJ, or Hunterdon County NJ.
SPECS: 10.55 inches tall, 7.0 inches wide, max. depth about 3.1 inches, weighs 12.0 lbs. Chunk of marble missing from top; but hidden and not visible if mounted as fireplace keystone just beneath mantel; also some small chipping throughout: Please carefully study the photos. Carved into the back is what appears to be the letter ‘C’.
Decorative stone tablet for your fireplace entablature restoration or new construction project, also works nicely as a garden ornament or home decor addition to any room.
