BIG and HEAVY at more than 12 pounds! "Foundry Worker", a pair of solid bronze book ends, with aged patina and thin old green felt on one of the pair. Often seen in iron or aluminum, but rarely seen this large, and far less common in solid bronze.
Foundry and exact decade unknown, my ‘best guess’ would be sometime 1920-1940s Art Deco Period.
SPECS: Each measures about 7.2" tall by 5.5" wide by 2.2" deep, the pair weighs in at a whopping 12 lbs 10 oz.
