Ronson Scottie Scottish Terrier Dog Antique Bookends

Adorable Scottish Terrier dogs pair of bookends, made Art Deco Period circa 1930 by Ronson. Each book end features a pair of Scottie dogs (or "Scotty" dogs) one standing alert and one sitting on its hind quarters. Solid metal dogs of bronze color (but they are spelter, not bronze), likewise the hollow cast bases -- which just shout ART DECO and are a nice deep-copper color. They are surprisingly heavy given their petite size ... and oh so sweet. A great gift for the terrier lover in your life!

SPECS: Each measures about 3.75" tall by 4.45" by 3.6", the standing dogs are about 2.2" tall and 2.6" snout to hind legs, the sitting dogs slightly smaller. The pair weighs in at 5 lbs 5 oz. One of the four dogs is missing an ear, but we think that they still display very nicely. We have replaced the felt on the bottoms with 1/16" black foam -- that, along with their surprising heft, means they tend to slide less and hold books a bit better than some other petite-sized bookends.
