Nautical maritime theme, a nice pair of tall ships with billowing sails, made Art Deco Period circa 1925 by the Galvano Bronze Company (marked “TARRANT” on the back, which was a trade-name used by the Galvano Bronze Co.) A pair of vintage electroformed bronze-clad figural book ends, with original polychrome paint (blue, orange, green, white, red).
SPECS: Each measures about 7.8 tall by 5.85 wide by 2.25 inches deep, the pair weighs in at 5 lbs 2 oz. There are several dings and small cladding breaks (on the order of 2x3 mm) in the bronze cladding that forms the ships. The backs are not at an exact right-angle to the base, and also exhibit some curvature, see the photos.
