McCoy "Bear (cookies vest)" Vintage Cookie Jar

Gorgeous paint condition ... vintage McCoy Pottery "Bear (cookies in vest)", No. 22, made in 1945 -- this is the original version of this jar, so it does not have the word "Cookies" in raised letters between the feet as on later versions. Original cold paint in near-mint condition, extremely rare to find on a McCoy of this vintage. Paint colors include: red, yellow, brown, black. Overall ivory-white colored glaze. On the bottom, incised, "McCoy". Very cool red-bow-tie-and-vested bear with cookies inside of his vest.

SPECS: This cookie jar stands about 10.75" tall and 7.2" wide, and weighs in at 4 lbs 7 oz. Minimal crazing, one hairline on the jar rim near the bow tie, 11mm x 23mm chip on the inside rim of the lid (not visible when the lid is on the jar), 11mm x 12mm chip around the back of the lid where it meets the jar ... see the photos.
