Very fine antique Flowers & Leaves decorated "Thunder Mug", most likely circa 1871-1890 based on the backstamp. This chamber pot has a combination of transfer-ware and hand-painted design; colors include: blue, green, pink, orange, yellow/mustard, and tan. Pretty!
On the bottom: "Brownfield & Son, Trademark", and twin globes logo, stamped in black. Incised on the bottom: "Brownfield, 2, Ivory, 3/81", and another incised mark that looks like a little four dimple crosshatch. "6056" handwritten in yellow. A raised "arrowhead-like" logo/mark in the center.
SPECS: Specs & Condition: 9" in diameter, plus handle; 5.25" tall. Weighs in at 3 lbs 10 oz (1645g). Excellent condition: no chips, no cracks, no repairs. A few small glaze-misses and flea bites on the rim. Approx 1/2" dia. discoloration/stain inside near the bottom, see ARROW photo.
