One of the coolest cookie jars ever produced. Mickey-Minnie turnabout, Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse on one side and Minnie on the other. This one dates from the Art Deco 1930s or possibly the early to mid-1940s, it is an original, genuine, authentic, vintage cookie jar.
On the bottom, in 4 lines (though a bit difficult to read): "Patented, Turnabout 4 in 1, Mickey and Minnie, Walt Disney".
This one still has much of its original paint. There is an approx 2" long crack on each side, lots and lots of crazing (due to its age), what looks like an approx 0.5" manufacturing crack/defect on the inside of the lid, and other various anomalies typical of these jars, see the RED PEN photos. Stands 13.5" tall and weighs in at 6 lbs 11 oz. Lots of crazing and hazing all over. Maker (unmarked) is either Ludowici Celedon, American Pottery, or Leeds China.
